The second annual vendor show for Pittsburgh was a multi-faceted success. It was held at Amici's Catering facility on April 21st. Many of our members took time out of their busy days to come and meet our local vendors and the many manufacturers representatives that attended. Members were able to get face to face to speak to the vendors, receive product samples and enjoy wonderful food, beverages and for the lucky one's door prizes.
John Davie, President of Dining Alliance was on hand to give participating members their rebate checks for our Manufacturers Appreciation Program (MAP). This year we handed out over $47,000 in rebate money to members. This is up from last year, approximately 35%, due to the increase in participating members and the fact that our members are making small changes in their buying habits and purchasing more products that are eligible for a rebate.
Many of our members have taken advantage of our Smallwares Program with Dean Supply. It is proven successful, saving our members money while receiving top quality smallwares products. We look forward to many more ways to show that the Dining Alliance and its' leveraged programs can help you and your restaurants to save money and, in turn, be more profitable.
