Who Are Our Suppliers?

  • Our suppliers are many of the foodservice industry's most prestigious suppliers. They have successfully bid aggressive prices and terms and were chosen by the Board of Advisors. They are now enjoying the increased profits from their association with Dining Alliance and its members.
  • Our approved suppliers benefit from adding a large volume of committed customers and their purchases. With over 1,000 members we represent over $250 million in purchasing volume and have sales greater than one billion.
  • Our suppliers care about the success and long term viability of independent restaurants. They are leaders in their respective fields and efficient enough to offer Dining Alliance members the most competitive prices due to its large, collective volume.
  • Our suppliers know that when they introduce new products, it's the independent restaurant that is creative enough to support that product.
  • Once our suppliers go through the rigorous approval process, they see substantial benefits from their new association with Dining Alliance's members:
    • Long term commitment from both Dining Alliance and their participating members.
    • The addition of 5 full-time Member Consultants whose job it is to promote each supplier and their product. Our consultants bring on about 15 new members a week and service about 50 members a week.

Suppliers... don't lose out!

Non-approved suppliers will do significantly less or no business at all with the hundreds of committed Dining Alliance members. To compete, non-approved suppliers are forced to drastically lower their price on their core products. Even drastic price cuts, however, are often unsuccessful because of the broad range of savings and benefits that Dining Alliance units enjoy. If one of our restaurants does not live up to its commitments, they will lose all the benefits from all the other suppliers. With that penalty, it is exceedingly difficult to get a Dining Alliance member restaurant to switch to a non-approved supplier!
