The mission of the Waltham Boys & Girls Club is to inspire and enable all young people especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Dining Alliance loves supporting the Waltham Boys and Girls Club. The Waltham Boys and Girls club is a drop in youth center available to all youth. They offer programs to help members develop a sense of belonging, a usefulness, competence, and influence. Their mission is to inspire youth, especially those that need the club most to become responsible, productive and caring citizens. Among all the fantastic things the club does for the community, they also have a Food Program. This of course, is right up the Dining Alliance ally! The club is committed to providing nutritious meals to hungry youth throughout the year. They provide after school meals daily as well as a meal on Saturdays and school vacations. They also offer a free breakfast and lunch throughout the summer. Last but not least, the club offers healthy cooking courses for the youth to participate in.

The Boys and Girls Club passion for ensuring all are hungry youth are fed and equipped with the skills to cook well balanced meals is what we find touching and a great fit for the resources our organization has. Dining Alliance has been providing manufacturer samples that are sent to our office over to the club. These things vary, but may include silver wear, cooking oil, breads, paper towels, juices, and so many more things that our wonderful manufacturers have provided our office with to sample.

Dining Alliance has also taken an interest in sponsoring events for the club (Beer Summit, Golf Tournament), collecting summer camp supplies, office gift card drives, and so much more!

Our entire staff takes part in driving our relationship and volunteering  with the club where we can.

Dining Alliance is proud to participate in a bottle and can recycling program in our office run by The Waverley Redemption Center (WRC). WRC has been recycling bottles and cans from area consumers for nearly two decades and are now a partner with WCI – Work, Community, Independence. WCI is a Waltham-based non-profit serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1974, WCI provides living arrangements, employment and day supports to individuals with a wide range of disabilities. WCI provides flexible options to people it supports, to achieve their optimal lifestyles, as each individual’s needs are different. “To foster the greatest possible degree of independence and competence for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities” has been WCI’s goal for over three decades.

All proceeds from our bottle and can recycling as donated to the WCI program and we all look forward to our weekly visits from our WCI partners.
